MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Since it is the biggest French Lycée in India, the Lycée Français de Pondichéry has the role of promoting French culture and the excellence of French education.
This new academic year has started proves, taking into account the results of the last year, the quality of work that has been put forth : The results were 100% in the Social & Economic Section, (BAC ES), 100% in the Science Section (BAC S) and 94% in the Tertiary Section (BAC STG). In the DNB (High School), the results were also 90% and 100% in the BEP – Certificate for Professional Studies. 90% of our students have left to continue their higher studies in France, their orientation ranging from preparatory classes in Paris (Louis le Grand, Saint Louis, Janson de Sailly, Paul Valéry) to the other places outside Paris (Tours, Toulouse , Marseille), and the Universities of Sorbonne, Orsay, Toulouse and these also range from all post BAC Studies (Medicine, Engineering, INALCO).
To these brilliant performance of the students, stays underlined the total and selfless commitment of the members of the staff who bring in a wholesome and efficient cultural compliment to our education : Matches, Year ending performances, fancy fairs at the Primary, festivities in tune with the traditional celebrations, evening of cultural performances both traditional and modern and many more such events organised for and by the students, in and around things that they read in class.
For the first time, the Lycée proudly welcomes non francophone students within its walls : Indians, Europeans, Koreans, and these students, in four years, will pass out with a BAC (S), a plus 2 in Science, with “Mention European” in this Certificate. Yet another facet which the Lycée opens out to India, the World.
It is therefore a great pleasure to manage an establishment which, from the Kindergarten to the 12th Grade, doesn’t spare anything to assure nothing but the best in the fields of welcoming, working and in bringing about an efficient education, always in the pursuit of Higher goals to enable a better integration in professional life.
